Continue with a drive past the vibrant harbor district of Nyhavn to Amalienborg Palace which is the winter residence of of the Royal Family. Here you will have the opportunity to see the Changing of the Guard. Not to forget The Little Mermaid inspired by Hans Christian Andersen`s fairy tale. The Little Mermaid is the most popular tourist attraction in Denmark and is one of the most photographed statues in the world. There will be a boat cruise in the canal (from Nyhavn or Gammel Stand Piers)

Take the bus tour to the Viking Ship Museum where you can admire the recovered ancient ships, made by skilled 13th century craftsmen, and learn about Viking life. Delight in the Fram & Norwegian Maritime Museum which was founded in 1914 and houses exhibits on coast culture and maritime history including boat models, fishing, marine archaeology, marine paintings, ship building, and shipping. Vigeland Sculpture Park is home to a vast collection of sculptures which inhabit its landscape. The park portrays Gustave Vigeland`s observation of the themes of life and relationships. The Oslo Opera House is a new landmark in the city, having only been built in 2008. The venue also offers open-air concerts as well as fantastic views of the city if you climb its sloping rooftops! Fans of architecture will also enjoy admiring trendy Aker Brygge, a shopping centre which was once a shipyard. Here you can shop, dine in dockside restaurants and people-watch.
